Hello — I’m Nana Essandoh, a Cloud and Cybersecurity Consultant, writer, and speaker.
I help small and medium businesses build secure, practical cloud environments — without the confusion or jargon. My focus is on simplifying security and showing that technology, when used right, can empower rather than overwhelm.
My career in technology began in 2011 as a Junior Network Administrator at Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, managing critical infrastructure and Active Directory systems. Over the next decade, I worked across network operations, telecom infrastructure coordination, project management, and incident response—roles that taught me how interconnected systems, people, and processes really are.
That perspective crystallized when I discovered cloud computing and cybersecurity. I earned my AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, and Developer Associate), built expertise as a SOC Analyst for the Development Bank of Ghana investigating threats and automating response playbooks, and now hold multiple AWS and cybersecurity certifications including CompTIA CySA+. I’m an AWS Community Builder, where I publish articles and deliver technical presentations to help others navigate the cloud confidently.
But here’s what I’ve learned: security is never just technical. It’s personal. Whether I’m designing cloud architectures, analyzing threats, or teaching teams, I’m ultimately helping protect what matters most — people’s data, livelihoods, and trust.
Beyond the technical work, I’ve delivered over 15,000 hours of volunteer education as a Bible educator — work that honed my ability to teach complex ideas with clarity and compassion. I’m a husband, father, and long-time volunteer minister. I believe our work and our values should speak the same language: clarity, integrity, and service.

I’ve spent 10+ years in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud architecture, with hands-on experience across multiple industries including telecommunications, banking, government, and enterprise cloud services.

Currently working as a SOC Analyst for the Development Bank of Ghana, I investigate security alerts, respond to threats, and ensure SLA compliance. I’ve developed automated SOC playbooks that have significantly reduced incident response times and improved threat detection accuracy.
AWS Cloud Architecture
As an AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Developer, I design secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructures. I’ve worked with clients to migrate workloads to AWS, implement security best practices, and optimize cloud operations for performance and compliance.
Network Operations & Infrastructure
From managing NOC operations at Airtel Ghana to configuring VoIP services for global partners at We2Stars, I’ve built a strong foundation in networking, routing, switching, and infrastructure management—skills that directly inform my cloud security work today.
Pre-Sales & Client Consulting
During my internship at Tech Equity Cloud Services, I gathered client requirements, designed tailored Google Cloud solutions, delivered proof-of-concepts, and trained over 15 client teams on cloud adoption strategies.
